Choosing the Right Material for Robotics Parts

Material selection drives weight, stiffness, wear resistance, thermal behavior, and cost. Robotics and automation components often combine multiple materials in one assembly — a lightweight aluminum arm link, a hardened steel shaft, a bronze bushing, and a POM gripper finger may all sit inside the same mechanism.
